Rumana Monzur was once a passionate educator, shaping young minds as a lecturer in International Relations at the University of Dhaka. But in 2011, a brutal attack changed her life forever, leaving her blind. Refusing to let tragedy define her, she embarked on an extraordinary journey of resilience, proving that the human spirit is far stronger than any circumstance.
Determined to continue making an impact, Rumana earned a law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia and became a counsel at the Department of Justice Canada, advocating for Indigenous communities. Alongside her legal career, she shares her story on global platforms, inspiring others to break past limitations and believe in the power of transformation.
